The Risk of Birth

This post is mainly for Ashley, but also because i feel like i've really neglected the blogging world lately.

I got this book for Christmas today that I'd been wanting for a while by one of my favorite authors, Madeleine L'Engle. The book is really a devotional called Glimpses of Grace, but i just wanted it because i love her, and she loves Jesus, and that is just awesome, and her writing is awesome. Anyway, i decided to read the entry for today and loved what i found and am now going to quote it because i love it and poetry and it is a poem....

This is no time for a child to be born,
with the earth betrayed by war and hate
and a comet slashing the sky to warn
that time runs out and the sun burns late.

That was no time for a child to be born,
In a land in the crushing grip of Rome;
Honour and truth were trampled by scorn--
Yet here did the Savior make his home.

When is the time for love to be born?
The inn is full on the planet earth,
And by a comet the sky is torn--
yet Love still takes the risk of birth.

Ah i love it :)---and her. Anywho, sorry this blog isn't very deep or anything---i'm not feeling very well, and thus am very tired---but i love ash and am blogging for her :)
i promise to blog about my actual life when i'm not as close to passing out as i am now.
ok, now i think i'm going to watch Friends because it makes me happy and i don't feel bad for falling asleep during it because i practically have every episode memorized :)

oh, and---i've just recently moved to Denton and need to find a job. i really would love to work part-time for a professional photographer---so if anyone knows anyone---that would be amazing :)

love you all.
